Born in 1978 in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. Dave Tolley’s interest in Percussion began at an early age. While studying piano, Dave figured out that hitting stuff was much more fun. At 11, he created a makeshift kit from a set of bongos and a handful of cardboard boxes and never looked back. Happy New Year

Hey Hey,

So, It’s been awhile. Sorry about that. It’s been a super busy time. Lot’s of music flowing, new tours, and many other things to come. This has been a very exciting time. I’ve been living and teaching in Northern British Columbia. It’s been quite a change from my old Toronto lifestyle. While some might think this could change ones creativity it has actually expanded my own.

At the same time my family world has grown to include a beautiful child. Marie and I, on August 22, 2011 welcomed Cadence Rain into the world. She’s awesome!

Music and life continues on, lots of beautiful things around us and many things to do. Lots of changes coming in music world so stay tuned. Like I said earlier, more tours this spring, new music and a new studio for me.

Stay tuned!

Hi Everyone,

So, the Nine Mile tour was a lot of fun. Thanks to everyone who came out to see the shows. Thanks also to everyone who came out to see Danny Michel and the Camptown Racers. It was a great month of music.

So, I’m going to be doing a Musician in Residency stay in an amazing town in Northern B.C. Fort St. John has not only amazing people but an amazing music community. I’ll be staying up there for the month performing, conducting workshops and working with the “Northern Groove” team to emphasize the amazing music community that exists up there. Check out the link for more info.
